 4 What surprised me most when I read this chapter was that the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom lives at 10. The Prime Minister lives at 10 Downing Street.  In 1682, Sir George Downing built a street of his house near the Palace of Whitehall.  There are only four homes here, but now they are very different.  George II gave Sir Robert Walpole 10 in 1735, from which time the British Prime Minister began living at 10 Downing Street.  From this book I found that there is the oldest and most famous church in London. It is Westminster Abbey. From the time of William the Conqueror in 1066 to today in the 21st century, British kings and queens have always held coronations here.  Queen Elizabeth II held a coronation here in 1953. I've never seen a coronation, so I can't imagine what it would look like. I want to see the coronation in England just once.  I was surprised that British people often burned Guy Fawkes on fire.
